Seems they caught the guys...
The guys used there motorcycle helmets to disguise themselves.
Unfortunately they had all written their names and telephone numbers on the back of them in case they lost them.

When they were breaking into the vault ,Paddy looked down at the axe and crowbar on the floor and said to Murphy ,"Take your pick"
Murphy was found by the police later, near the vault , trying to find the pick.
