I'm goin' with what nick said.
It's a tragedy for sure, and I really do feel for her, but she probably has life insurance on her husband. IF she didn't and needed money for the funeral, i'm sure everyone would help and take care of it.
But the half mill she will probably get from life insurance is not going to bring her husband back. I can't imagine what 5k from gfyers etc is going to do to comfort her.
I don't mean to sound like a dick.... I really am very sad for her and the family.
