I liked Rather when he was younger and reporting from war zones.. I always thought he came across well. The older he got the more sensitive he seemed to get. Something about an anchor man crying on camera that just doesn't appeal to me. Not once.. but several times.
I'm not heartless.. I just think if your THE anchor of a major broadcasting company you shouldn't allow yourself that privelage on camera.
