About 5 yrs ago when my youngest was 5 yrs old, we'd been up to grab some supplies from the pub near where we used to live, and decided to take a drive down past our old house.
As we were leaving the estate, we turned a corner and there was a chicken...crossing the road.
The driver (an ex who shall remain nameless) stopped the car to avoid hitting it...and Jordie wound down his window and started screaming 'WHY CHICKEN? YOU HAVE TO TELL US! WHY ARE YOU CROSSING THE ROAD? WE NEED TO KNOW!'
Was the funniest thing coming from a 5 yr old...and I was just sitting there wondering how the hell it happened that I was just driving along and ended up in the middle of a joke.
