What does that have to do with liberal and conservative? Believe it or not, before Reagan (who laid the groundwork for the Mullah Robertson et. al.) there was a left and right in even the Republican party.

If the slavery question were around today, I have no doubt that it would be the left agitating to free them, with the right hiding their ignorant bigotry behind property rights and states rights.

"Newsweek, Time, and World News are all liberal."

If you are referring to "U.S. News and World Report", you probably also think that the Wall Street Journal is liberal. USN&WR is far more conservative than the other two, and always has been.

I never have had a problem admitting I'm a liberal. I long for the day when a liberal democrat takes a cue from the likes of Harry Truman, and punches the fuck out of some dimwit who does not realize that liberalism and patriotism are not mutually exclusive.
