I stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road last year and besides it being a crappy hotel and paying more than a room at the Westin (I wanted oceanfront, which they gave me - on the bottom floor so I couldn't see the ocean and I couldn't leave my outside door open), not being "in the action" didn't work well for me
