Most of the wars, conflicts, and terrorist actions today are fought (ignorantly) under the name of "their god"... religeon is used as the defining line of "our side there side", and millions of people die as a result (see Bosnia, for example).
Yes, people do good work in gods name... but that hasn't stopped people from using gods name to insight people to evil deeds, and our history is filled with it.
