Dan, when people think they are doing "what god wanted", they usually do some very stupid and short sighted things.
Most of the battles and bloodshed in the world today is based on "my god is true, and your god isn't real... and if he is, well, he sucks shit!".
America "one nation under god" isn't any different from "praise Allah" or "in the name of Allah"...
Before you spout off a big "we ain't near the same", trade sides. Think about what americans sound like to muslim ears. Understand that "god bless america" is as absurd a concept to them as "Allah care for Bin ladin" would be to us. THINK ABOUT IT.
One nation under god. Who's god? Strictly speaking, before the US went blowing shit up, Afgahnistan was "one nation under god"... just not the god you like.
