What a coincidence - I love Deadwood too
And the coincidence is........is that I stumbled upon "Wild Bill" on Showtime last night.
Jeff Bridges played Will Bill - Carradine played Buffalo Bill - and Christ - he looked just like he did in Deadwood..........and the town they were is was called Deadwood........go figur - huh?
See:
"Jeff Bridges stars as legendary Western hero Wild Bill Hickok in this revisionist frontier bio that exposes the real gunslinger, who suffered from glaucoma, opium addiction and loneliness alleviated only by his lifelong friendship with Calamity Jane (Ellen Barkin). Writer/director Walter Hill's riveting account costars John Hurt, Diane Lane, Keith Carradine, Christina Applegate, Bruce Dern, James Gammon, David Arquette, Marjoe Gortner and James Remar. Based on Pete Dexter's novel "Deadwood" and Thomas Babe's play "Fathers and Sons."

Cool Movie. I'm really hooked on westerns - especially from reading Louie Lamour's novels in the 80's. And now I watch Gunsmoke religiously at 6-8 p.m. on Starz - 7 days a week and/or at 6:00 a.m. EST...Fuck News
