I'm old and I learned a lot of the things being mentioned in other dealings with people and business, but a couple of the things I DID learn in this biz are:
1) Not everyone in it is a sexual deviant.
2) This is the most tolerant of "different" group of people I have ever dealt with. I remember my first show in Miami (1999 I think). I was petrified that no one would talk to me because I was just a plump middle aged soccermom and everyone else was in the "Porn Biz" (except Lee Noga
). I could not have been more wrong.
If you're young, old, skinny, fat, FFN, Player, Player Hater, gay, straight, mixed - everyone is accepted (or rejected) strictly on their skills and personalities. It may have a lot to do with most of us "meeting" on the computer and not face to face, but it's one of the strengths of this industry IMHO.
