In local elections my ticket is still pretty evenly split (60/40 Democrat). Before the Robertson faction began it's complete domination of the Rep party, I would almost always vote for an incumbent in Congressional & Legislative elections (the greater the seniority = the better able to obtain good things for the district).
Since Reagan/Robertson/et al., I've been a pretty solid Democrat - and I'm a lot less liberal than I used to be.
To get me to vote Republican it would require a Dean, Kucinich or Sharpton vs McCain.
