The Republic of Mythos Arcadia is a tiny, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.
The small, corrupt, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Soda Sales, Cheese Exports, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.
Crime is a major problem. Mythos Arcadia's national animal is the raven and its currency is the dollar.
We'll be taking a stand on voluntary voting this evening.
Funny that mine includes soda as well... Pepsi is nearly the only thing I drink!
