My sister, who prides herself for doing the exact opposite of what everyone else does, had her belly button pierced about 10 years ago. She was SO pissed when everyone else started getting it done and it became fashionable. Ditto with the hennaed hand designs - she was doing it years ago and now everyone's doing it. She's such a trend setter. :P
