Actually the recruiter DID tell him to lie about it, but thankfully he read up on a few things and decided it wasn't worth it if they ever did a security clearance on him.
Right now all the branches are hitting their recruitment quotas WAY ahead of schedule with the AF leading the pack. They can REALLY pick and choose at this point.
I think if he scores well on the ASVAB he should be OK. Apparently that's one of the things they look at when considering the waivers.
And they're not MOS in the AF
, they're AFSC , but yes, his recruiter told him that with the 84, he could do what he wanted.
