I think the Stray Cats brought a more remembered cultural and social change to the main stream majority than the Ramones ! They brought back rockabilly, made it popular with the main stream in the 80s ! It had been dying out in the late 50's . Lord, knows Brian Setzer's hair along with the guys of Duran Duran started a fad ! LOL
Stray cats were on Mtv in the beginning of Mtv's history and the image that the Stray cats portray was it was cool to be a bad boy with tattoos !

Now, Brian has been making Swing popular again since his move away from the Cats .
If one did not listen to punk at the time , they were pretty clueless about the Ramones ! ( like me )
