Now, I just have a public school education, but it seems to me that the Nazi flag may carry a bit more baggage than the Japanese or Italian flgs might. To my knowledge there aren't any currently active hate groups who proudly display the "Rising Sun" or Italian flags as a symbol of their views.

It was an absolutely STUPID selection for use at the halftime show of a high school football game.
