The comment was racist because it made reference to race (it's debatable if it is in a derogatory manner as it is inferred that McNabb would be benched if he was any other race than black).

McNabb has earned the right to play due to this abilities, he seriously contributed to the Eagles success last season (even though they continued to win after his injury). It's the coaches (and owners) call who starts at QB not the NFL or the media

I think the comment was wrong because I don't see the NFL propping up black quarterbacks. What everyone wants most in the NFL is to win. If a team could win with a transgendered asian, black, indian, aborigine one armed bearded midget at QB that's who they would play

That being said, it sucks if Limbaugh resigned over the remark, anyone should be allowed the freedom to express their opinions

Furthermore the NFL (as the rest of the USA) is way out of line with affirmative action programs, the best person for the job should get the job regardless
