KK, I have a legitimate excuse this time. One of my favorite relatives is getting married.
But you are right, even if I were in town, I doubt if I'd go to a birthday party with the porn crowd. I prefer being with friends. They have to pull me by the hair and drag me to my own party with family.
The only way I could tolerate get togethers with people I didn't know when I was younger was to drink a lot of sloe gin fizzes until I couldn't see my feet. Those days are over. I don't drink. Handling a lot of jackasses who piss on carpeting and shit in sinks is not my cup of tea.
I feel more at home in Las Vegas. I can get lost in the crowd and enjoy myself with my friends. That's difficult to do in a small setting.
