I think its a combo of "little dick syndrome" and being in "self destruct" mode to be honest.
So you drink/do drugs to feel better about the cowpats that the devil throws in front of you on the road of life. And you end up being so wasted that you fall head first into them, instead of side stepping them like you should.

Maybe I was thinking about the view on (what you think) is the way up
and you have the entire view. The LDS and power thing make sense together in a way
