So very true and this demonstrates the weakness of the argument that the US has been anti-Arab and pro-Israel since the inception of Israel. In fact the US has courted Arab nations all along and offered to supply Arab countries with weapons. There were a number of proposals in the 1950s that were rejected by Arab nations.
Another point. It was the USSR that supplied weapons to Israel in 1948 through Czechoslavakia.
