Well, I am happy to say that I have never had a cavity in my life, but I did have two wisdom teeth removed and it was a harrowing experience...
The top one came out in two seconds, but the bottom one had the root hooked around the root of the next tooth. It did NOT show up on the X-Ray. In addition, the nerve on that side of my mouth was not where it is with most people. Soooo... the dentist is pulling on the tooth, not knowing that the root is caught and this thing is not coming out, I'm pulling against him trying to help, and the novocane is NOT working because he kept missing the nerve! I would yell, he would ask if my lip feels "fat," I would say no... etc... until he couldn't give me any more novocane.
We ended up packing the broken mess for the night and I went to another dentist the following morning. He had gas...
I told him to knock my ass out and wake me up when it was over... It was a good thing too, because apparently, he missed the nerve as well. They told me they never heard anyone scream like that in 25 years of practice. The waiting room was packed when I went in, and it was empty when I left. The receptionist said I scared them away. hahaha
I remember nothing, other than a wonderful out of body experience.
Oh, and I had no swelling, no bruising, no nothing...
