I just read the transcript of the entire interview and it doesn't seem anywhere near as bad as it did when I just saw the sound bites on TV. In fact, I think it's fine on re-examination.

Just saw an interview with Arnett on NBC. He was very apologetic. He regrets having done the interview.

He lost both his NBC and his National Geographic jobs. I guess now he can come home and write a best-seller.
