Saddam Hussein is a survivor. He plays the game well. very well. better than the UN, better than the UN Security Council and better than George Bush.
i am starting to have respect for the guys political skills. he is a murderous tyrant spitting in the face of the world - and the world is behind him. George Bush decided to go head to head with him and it seems to me (i have 3 tv's playing cable news all day long) that he is winning.
but regardless of world opinion - the better news is that people are very fickle. we could pave over Iraq and two years from now, people would not remember what Iraq was. Look what Germany did to Europe. No one hates Germans. If there was ever a case for deep rooted and long lasting hatred in the world... that was it.
People forget really quick. Bush seems to be really committed to a one term presidency, so i think he should be making a hit list. the next Liberal Democratic president will easily clean up the mess and present the US as a new and kinder America, cut back the military and relax tariffs on French wines
