Hmmmmm In any metrics you want to use, the US trumps Canada a majority of the time. Economicly, Militarily, Health Care, Science, Art, Movies, Entertainment, whatever.... Canada is not a third world nation or anything, and I am glad we have Canada as a northern neighbor rather then someone hostile to us, or really poor like Mexico.

The speed with which the current Adminstration has and is squandering the wave of sympathy and cooperation that we received after 9/11 is breathtaking. The crude, clumsy segue from the war on terror to the focus on Iraq has destroyed it. The fact that Rumsfeld and other morons can dismiss the opinion of France and Germany because, I suppose, we have the support of Latvia, Luxembourg and Italy shows just how out of touch with reality some people are.

I agree with you about Bush, his problem is he will probably drag it on, and let Iraq wiggle free. Bush is doing an average job at best, and yes I think he has squandered MANY opportunities!!

As far as Europe... France and Germany in particular. France has oil contracts and eagerly does business with terrorist states including Iraq. France has always done the opposite of our stance just for the sake of being different, they see themselves as a European counter balance to us.... Come on EVEN liberals make fun of the french!!

Germany is the country who wants to continue selling equipmentthat would help Iraq build nuclear weapons, chemcial and biological weapons. Both countrieds cannot see past their nose, and the big photo.

Also I have a sneaky feeling they are pulling for hte Arabs to hurt the US and Israel... there is a LARGE wave of Anti-Semetism going through Europe...
