I really liked the format this year. In previous years, I've played a few weeks, found myself hopelessly out of contention and quit. I might've done the same this year as I was fighting hard to maintain 80th place around week 5. However, the weekly prizes made it worthwhile to stop in and make picks every week. And damned if I didn't slide into contention these last few weeks with some luck even though I didn't win a single week.
I'm not gonna talk smack even with it sewed up. Picking against the spread in today's NFL involves as much luck as skill. I wonder how many of the weekly prizes were won on random picks? I'm guessing a few...
