Those gunships can sure rain down some fury though. Anyone know what they are like against armor? Also seems almost like they would be easy targets for a well-placed SAM handheld or otherwise.
I'm with Todd also about a swift campaign, although I have a military fetish, I hope for peace in the region soon.
I wonder how good the Iraqi propanda machine is, according to their media and local interviews Iraqis are gripped with national fervor ready to defend their motherland against the US agressor. My guess is that most of these Iraqis loathe Saddam more than they fear the US, and would probably welcome a chance at some change.
Ultimately my greatest hope is that the Iraqi military commanders will turn against Saddam making a full invasion uneccessary and we'll participate in peacekeeping operations with much lower casualty rates
