Pick an environmental area in particular that you think is "not fine". Please don't quote Al Gore's book ;-)
Just to start with, your usage of the phrase "raping our resources" denotes an emotional attachment to particular philosophies but I'm "open minded." Whatcha got?
My favorite is climate. Are you a global warming proponent (1980s) or global cooling (1970s)? Always an interesting choice. Personally, global warming would mean my Colorado property will one day be sea side and increase in value. Of course, Canada will become North America's new breadbasket. Personally, I think most of the US [where I live] is much too cold.
