Here is a mothly chart of a good gold mining stock. Notice the massive volume on the recent rise in gold and the subsequent drop off in volume as it pulls back / consolidates.
It looks to me from the daily charts like gold could break out in the next week or so OR it may pull back one more time and break out in early 2003.
