Since I get so much slack about being just a cabbie or just a trucker, :(
I decided to upgrade my license position and begin driving BUS !!!
(I'm patting myself on the back here) woohoo :clapping::clapping:its like getting a promotion :)

And since the rigg is mine, I wanna begin my own marketing business bus
It's real cheap...
The route runs Orlando to Los Angeles.
Thats more than 2500 MILES OF EXPOSURE !!
it runs 4 times a month, and at only a buck twenty a mile
($1.20/per mile):clapping:

I know that in major cities there are flatbed trucks that you can rent ad space on (they have a mini billboard bolted down on the flatbed).
If you are going cross country there are probably programs that would like to have that kind of visibility/reach. I think it's a do-able idea.

Absolutely, :) The flatbed stand ads been around for years.
But in the major larger cities its becoming more popular the smaller box trucks that's being seen all over major metro areas.

The trucks are empty, (just containing the rolling ad mechanism) the ads rotate every 45 to 55 seconds displaying a different sponsor.
These drivers get paid minimum wages and just drive around in circles throughout the downtown metro area for bout 10 to 12 hours a day.

So..:whistling

1-BOX TRUCK: $5.000 (if purchased in undisclosed quantity)
2-LICENSES: Depending on what city or county? These change on what a truck needs and licenses are priced at.
3-AD BOX: Well, Are ya gonna use these silly roller ads? or the new digital display screens?This will effect the price depending on the programer.
4-INSURANCE: Since the vehicles aren't hauling people "Besides the Driver" and theres no valuables freight inside, the basic business insurance should be liable for that state.
5-DRIVER: For minimum wage? yup, these plenty of unmenployed people with drivers licenses around? right?... ;)

I've seen actual trucks that are like 2 feet wide. Truck bodies with billboards on the back.

I have actually used a variation of this for years when I was in the retail Video/printing and Photo lab biz.

We bought a $200 trailer frame at the harbor freight, put a 4 X8 2 sided sign on it, and dragged it around town, through parades, etc.
VERY effective.
Evene had a fight with the township I lived in when I parked it there at night.
(I won by the way, as it was a duly registered vehicle in the commonwealth.
And the judge thought the whole thing was funny.)
