Those are the proposed 2257 record keeping regs. Public comment period lasts until Sept. 10th. DOJ then reviews comments, adjusts regs as they see fit based on comments then issues final version that go into effect 30 days after being published in the Federal Register.

FSC will file new motions for injunction somewhere in that process.

They continue to get more and more convoluted.

That's essentially the same thing Greg Piccionelli said at Cybernet Expo in regards to the effects of the Adam Walsh Act on 2257.

That was prior to the proposed regs being released, but he was of the opinion, based on how the law itself had changed, that it actually improved FSC's arguements that the entire law is unconstitutional. Time will tell. Title 18 U.S.C. 2257 is almost 20 years old*, and it isn't going to go away any time soon.

*For those that may not be aware of the history, the original law was passed by Congress in 1988 as a direct result of the Traci Lords scandal.

The more convoluted they make it, the better shot anyone has of proving that it's unconstitutional and does nothing to stop CP.
