Every time I read some bible thumper complain that .xxx would "legitimize porn" and such it pisses me off. It IS a legit and protected form of business. That said, I am glad they are fighting this, even if it may be for what we consider the wrong reasons, because their lobbying carries much more weight than does ours.

Quote:

Mr. Lawley says the debate over how dot-xxx will affect pornography on the Internet should be irrelevant, since Icann's approval criteria have nothing to do with such questions.

"We never said we're going to save the whales or stop world hunger," he says. "We fit the criteria. The only question is, Will someone intervene at the last minute?"
Say what? They do not have the adult industry support still they keep saying they "fit the criteria". Atleast he is getting a bit more humble - It ain't over till the fat surfmaster sings :whistling ;)
