my business is in the USA, and I HAVE to abide by US law, which states that 2257 is required

like I said, get a lawyer before you start trying to get international business...there are lots of laws here in the USA that prevent us from working with you if you don't have 2257 available to us

Leyla, as US webmaster I know that as a foreign webmaster your site "technically" doesn't have to comply with 2257 laws. You can follow the laws of your country with little to no worry about what US laws are BUT, and it's a big butt ;) as a US webmaster I, and anyone else here in the states, won't be able to promote your program effectively unless you DO follow the US laws. See, we can't afford the risk of prosecution here in the USA by not following 2257 like you can. And no matter what your lawyer says about no US webmaster with a desire to remain out of jail is going to take that kind of advice. You might get people who promote your program here and there via a few text links, etc BUT, and here's that big butt again, you could garner a whole lot more business if you DID follow the USA's 2257 laws.

Think of it this way.. as a USA based webmaster who am I more likely to use?

A- A USA or foreign based webmaster program that follows the 2257 laws and helps me cover my ass legally because of that.

or

B- A USA of foreign based webmaster program that ignores the 2257 laws and puts my freedom loving ass at risk of severe jail time.

Answer seems obvious to me. :)
