I hope everyone has a Thanksgiving dinner that can't be beat, does not get hassled by Officer Obie for hiding an envelope underneath a half-ton of garbage (let alone caught up in a situation where 8x10 color glosssy photos with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one is to be used as evidence against you gets forwarded to your F.B.I. file in Washington, D.C.), and does not have to get injected, inspected, detected, infected, neglected and selected any time soon.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :groupwave

pushpills...I'm going to foward your sandwich recipe to my husband. We're not having mashed potatoes this year - we're committing what one of my kids says is the "sacrilege" of having baked potatoes - but he's always on the lookout for new "leftover" recipes. (As long as they're easy and don't involve actual cooking, that is.) Mashed potatoes will be easy enough to make tomorrow, though. (He doesn't consider *my* making mashed potatoes "cooking.") :)

baked potatoes? a coconut fall off a tree and hit you on the head??? as far as the sammich goes, lightly toast the rye bread, slather some mashed potatoes on the top piece, pepper it generously, turkey the other piece, and combine! you can put on some multi-herb shake too. I suppose you could probably gravy it up if thats your thing but I'm not a gravy boy, so it's really not an official steve turkey sandwich if it has gravy.
happy turkey day! :broccoli9

Oh and if you want a receipe for Roast Turkey...

Here you go...

Take turkey...
Cut 1/4 incissions through the turkey...make a mixture of garlic lemon and honey...
After one hour cooking pour a liberal amount of fine cognac over the turkey
Shave small amounts of truffles and sprinkle over it...
cook for one more hour..
Now pour approx one pint of single malt scotch ovwer the turkey
sprinkle brown ( has to be brown) sugar over the turkey.
cook for a further hour...
slip small slices of foie gras and cranberries into the 1/4 inch incissions and baste with existing gravy , add beer and vodka over the top and turn up the heat to seal in the foie gras and cranberry.

Take out turkey , throw it into the garbage and drink the gravy.

:)
