Time For A Break, Perhaps
We have a little ritual going on in my house that has just developed this school year. In addition to bedtime reading, I now read in the mornings while the bratling is eating breakfast. Right now we are on "Black Beauty".
So I'm reading along and we are at a point where Black Beauty meets up with Ginger on the cab stand, and he's talking about how used up she looks, and it talks about her forelegs being unsteady. Which of course I read as her foreskin being unsteady. |

*laughs SO hard* Oh god.... LOL
That is such a sad part in that book too... :( |
Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
I was out grocery shopping with my 15 yr old daughter, and the kids were going through a major pineapple phase (you know how they go through phases of eating stuff, right up until you have a fridge/pantry full of it, and then they decide they don't like it anymore?).
Anyway...I said to Alex, 'Can you grab a tin of pineapple penises please?' I meant to say pineapple pieces. :( The look of horror on her face was priceless. :D |
Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
LMAO Lisa...
And for shame! A TIN? In the country of abundant fresh pineapples you're buying them in tins? :( I guess they don't go bad that way... but I looooved fresh pineapple when I was out there. |
Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
Yeh sadly, a tin.
I can't bear stickiness (unless it's sex related, then it's fine. :D ) Tins allow them to serve themselves without either cutting digits off, or spreading/spraying pineapple juice from one end of the kitchen to the other. I'm a slackarse mummy. :) |
Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
Nah when you put it like that it totally makes sense lol
I remember cutting up the pineapples w/Justin's mum ...it is pretty messy yup! lol |

"Shall we get some Kentucky Fried Penis?" etc. No biggie :) |
Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
I'm not lost at all. Must be a British thing.
I love fresh pineapple, and strawberries ... but those pups go off too fast. Now I use canned and frozen, respectively. Last longer. Sometimes preservatives are a good thing. :) |

Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
Why would anyone eat canned fruit? I mean can anybody answer that?
I can see the can if you're in the army, but fresh fruit it's available, it's there, it's 2 aisles over. (will anybody answer this post correctly I wonder...) |

The correct answer was: GEORGE: (Gets up to leave) Well, scintillating as always. |

On several occasions, brought home some friggen expensive as hell strawberries, and very next day or that evening, they had white fur on them. As for pineapple, takes longer to go, but once cored and all, unless you have 8 people in the house ... that's a lot of pineapple. Don't even get half way through and it starts to turn. Natch I prefer fresh ... when it stays fresh. Morgan pretty much nailed what I haven't already said. Ok, can any thread on this board ever ... nevermind! |

Re: Time For A Break, Perhaps
My husband works at the University of Phoenix, which we have long referred to as the "University of Penis." It only causes difficulties if I forget where I am when I say it.
My son-in-law works for the University of the Pacific, which actually sued the University of Phoenix to prevent them from using "U of P" in their logos, etc. (Neither one of them give a shit, so we didn't get any of that fun "father/son-in-law rivalry I was hoping for, though.) Neither of us censored our language around our children, which resulted in some pretty salty talk coming out of the little seat in the basket at the grocery store before they got old enough to grasp the "it's impolite to gratuitously offend people in public" concept. Unfortunately, I rather enjoyed the facial expressions on passers-by when a toddler who'd obviously been pondering something suddenly says "oh, fuck it." |
