I understand this is just the lower classes revolting, but do not beleive for a second that some people will use this to further the objectives of islamic fascism.

The invasion of France has already been finished, the landing force is 100 times larger then the allies fielded during d-day. Of course this time the defenders are the French and not the Germans so I suspect victory is assured.

there is a big difference.... blacks were treated and looked at as subhuman by others.. for no real reason other than skin color. in most countries in central asia and north africa, people tend to ACT subhuman. blacks were not walking around the NY ghettos executing 12 year old raped girls because they had a child out of wedlock or taking pics of their children dressed up as suicide bombers or forcing 10 year olds to fight wars.

all the news is pretty much saying its mostly kids doing this shit. i am sorry... but i am not willing to look at a bunch of kids running around burning down buildings, looting stores and burning cars and rationalize that behavior with some fantasy about their "political enlightment and recognizing the need for change" - i see it as a bunch of idiots acting exactly like the idiots others believe they are.

Nobody said anything about the rioters being politically enlightened.

The blacks doing the rioting in urban America in the 60s were not the same ones getting their heads caved in for trying to vote.

In the cycle of change, this is normal. This kind of violence is nothing new.

Extremists on both sides will try to use it to their own advantage - Islamic fundamentalists will use it to urge jihad, bigots will use it to justify their bigotry.

Just because a battle is dormant for awhiles does not mean it will always remain that way.

Read your history - Take the time and read the book The Pirate Coast: Thomas Jefferson, the First Marines and the Secret Mission of 1805 by Richard Zacks.

Jefferson was the first American President to push for regime change in the middle east ( well North Africa). The US has been at war with these animals since the founding of our country.

Who would have thought Bush is taking after Jefferson? PD I am sure you know about this little tid bit of history.... being so wise and knowledgable about everything.

Well, Mike (or Buff, if that's still you) - I think you answered my question.

First of all, I think that trying to claim we have been at war with Islamic fundamentalists “since Jefferson” requires the sort of mental gymnastics that would cripple anyone with any structure or substance to their brain.

Second, I did not say that there was no involvement by Islamic fundamentalists in the Paris rioting. I don't doubt there is some involvement. There are probably all kinds of fringe groups involved as well. That does not mean that the people torching a car or looting a shop are followers of any of the groups; it also does not mean the same conditions of civil unrest would not exist if the Islamic groups were not agitating.

I will say that the conditions of an underclass generally make them ripe for exploitation by the likes of Islamic fundamentalists, communists, anarchists, whateverthefuckists (including Christian missionaries, in some places). The condition of the Islamic underclass in France is not new news. It's been going on since they allowed unfettered immigration of their house niggers from the colonies back in the 50s and 60s.

The danger comes in attributing all of the resentment to the works of Islamic fundamentalists. It is the nice, simple, kind of package that has great appeal to weak and small minds. Particularly, it is the prime focus of 'bigots us[ing] it to justify their bigotry.' It reminds me very much of the way the crackers in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and/or Louisiana attributed all Knee-grow disenchantment to the work of “Communists, Jews, and outside agitators” back in the 50s and 60s. (Those people [sic] were quite fond of dismissing all black people as animals too.)

I personally think that U.S. coverage of the ongoing situation in France has been pretty crappy - but not much more crappy than U.S. coverage of most anything else, including the war in Iraq.

I don't happen to subscribe to the opinion that it's somehow related to a conspiracy to "cover" for the French or the terrorists, however. Perhaps that's because I haven't had a lobotomy or didn't need private tutoring to learn to tie my shoes, or I'm just not "in the know."

By the way, cocksucker ... I let my subscription to Foreign Affairs lapse some years ago, and that link cost me a lot of money. I didn't mind the subscription costs so much, but fuck - I used up an entire black printer cartridge on my first visit to their website.

I thought that issue aint really religious or racially motivated just like most people say. It's more of a chaos brought about by worsening economic condition of the people living on those affected areas.
