Do you guys have any idea how much it costs to take the train from London to Paris?
I'm planning a trip to paris at the end ofAugust and thought that with recent events I might be able to get a cheaper flight into london and take the train over. But I was wondering how much it costs to see if I can save enough on the flight to make it worthwhile. Any help would be great guys thanks |
The Euro Tunnel route?
Depends on what 'class' you want to travel. Last time i checked it was around 129 return although first class was alost 3 times that price :) Its actually not a bad journey, about 45 minutes from Waterloo to Paris :) You can also go from one of the London airports (Go, EasyJet) , for around 50 quid each way if you are on a budget :) |

Scandalous .. copy and paste this £ ;)
Sorry Bhelliom am so used to driving over, that goes from folkstone which is on the coast straight to calais in france, primarily for drivers .. Best bet is either http://www.easyjet.com/en/book/index.asp by air or http://www.eurostar.com/dynamic/_SvBoExpre...K&_AGENCY=ESTAR by train |
you can get it for 69 pounds often..it is a really easy journey and the difference between flying and the eurostar is the train takes you right into paris and the airports are outside.

Good point Sarah thanks.
As I said I'm still looking for cheap flights from Toronto.. but its great that I have an option like that available to me Thanks again for all your help everyone |
oh..check out lastminute.com - they often have low cost eurostar packages on sale plus you can get cheaper hotels in London and theatre tickets, etc
|
Why would anyone want to go to Paris?!?! It's full of Frenchmen
|
Go Eurostar from Waterloo into the Gare du Nord - piece of piss.
Book 3 months in advance if you want the cheapest seats, you can probably get a return for £59, otherwise expect to pay around £99 - £119. You may also be able to get a good package in a 2/3* Hotel, but make sure you don't end up at one of the "central" hotels that's about 5 miles outside of the centre. Paris is a good city (the Marais, Place des Vosges, Rue Montegreuil, Left Bank, Notre Dame) - enjoy it :-)) |
