Rumors are that it will held in new orleans.
Anyone wanna confirm or deny that?

el pres 06-10-2005 08:33 AM

Wasn't there a show in N.O. a few years ago?

Yep - 2000. I know NOLA's been mentioned several times as somewhere they would try to have it again so it certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility :)

Dravyk 06-10-2005 08:59 AM

No rumors about it being in Juneau, I'm betting. <_<

Evil Chris 06-10-2005 09:27 AM

I hope it's true.
Beats the hell out of Florida.

Titan 06-10-2005 09:34 AM

Nickatilynx 06-10-2005 10:50 AM

The last N.O show was exciting.

Trev 06-10-2005 10:53 AM

I've heard stories about the last show in N.O that have made my cry with laughter...

Jeremy 06-10-2005 10:56 AM

IA2000 in NO was an awful lot of fun :-))

*KK* 06-10-2005 11:13 AM

Both New Orleans shows were great, and they certainly weren't any more humid than Miami in August...

Mike AI 06-10-2005 11:18 AM

New Orleans is a great place for conventions.

I seriously recall a bunch of folks from Florida saying it was god-awful in NO, humidity-wise comparison.

And the charity dinner in the historical building that couldn't therefore do air conditioning. I remember I was impressed when I looked down and they had brought out a finger bowl. Then the waiter informed me that those were just empty plates we were all filling up with sweat.

Yes Nawlins is a great city and great for conventioins, but like Miami/Hollywood, why must it always be at the hottest point of summer and the start of hurricane season, constantly???

True.. LOL

But I did actually go to the New orleans show last time and enjoyed it immensely. :)

Peaches 06-10-2005 11:30 AM

I was sick at the NOLA show and ended up spending most of the time in my room - alone :( So I would LOVE to go again :)

(now that I think about it, I bought a plane ticket to go to one of Michael's cookouts and had to cancel. Maybe NOLA's bad luck for me! :( )

Vick 06-10-2005 01:06 PM

a NOLA show will assure my attendance
Not that any one would give a fuck

ah ha ha ha

Moving the florida show is a stupid move in my opinion.

But if you are referring to the Vegas show beibng Moved, I am all for it .

Aly_AVN 06-10-2005 04:21 PM

I'm not that fond of New Orleans to be honest... Those were fun shows that year though (although the labour sucked... I'm STILL waiting for the Python booth to be finished for IA2000. LOL..)

I can neither confirm nor deny the NOLA rumour right now. It's news to me.

I'll sniff around.

na, i belive that is defently past my limit on a show.

honestly the new hike in prices kinda piss me off, i mean those fuckers make godly amounts and increase the price yearly.

Their overheads are becoming increasingly more expensive as time goes on .. someone has to pay it .. the question is for how long, will these shows be viable, if people start keeping away in droves?

Trev 06-11-2005 08:01 PM

I've been to 1 show and thats my last... untill I've got something I need to push... which I don't... at least not yet :groucho:

Exactly mate :okthumb:

OldJeff 06-12-2005 08:23 AM

NO sucks ass.......

ONLY good thing about it is the food, if it ever actually makes it to your table.

3 hours from placing order with waiter untill the food hits the table, Casino feels like you need to delouse after walking through it, and the quarter smells like a combination of vomit, stale beer, and piss.

Might be a fun time for those that feel getting drunk and throwing up at breakfast are acceptable pass times, but if I never set foot in NO again it will be too soon.

(Although the trips there did produce some very entertaining moments)

i see that from a touristic point of view - therefore i would like to have the show in new orleans - haven't been there yet. :biglaugh:
