I'm thinking a German Pope.

Either Walter Kasper, or Joseph Ratzinger.

Hmmm, a German more powerfull than Hitler... I'd rather have an Italian <_<

Newton 04-03-2005 05:06 PM

Hopefully this one won't be such a bigot, arent there any entries from the Philippines?

I do hope this isnt like choosing a "winner" from the Eurovision Song Contest

LOL... give me at least three real reasons why it matters and I'll take you seriously.

Hell Puppy 04-03-2005 06:48 PM

Could be someone like the Cardinal from Honduras, lets them appear more progressive and world wide in the power distribution.

No matter who it is, you can bet it'll be someone just as conservative as John Paul II. He went to great efforts to insure the electors share his conservatism. He will spin in his grave if the next Pope does something like ok birth control or worse yet remove the celibacy requirement for priests.

Newton 04-03-2005 06:50 PM

1. i look pimp in white
2. unlimited bling and the chance to promote adult as a good thing
3. one of those remote control arm chairs that has a directional stick on it

now where do i apply?

seriously though, ( i am not catholic) but I would think that since the south American countries are predomantly catholic from birth, and it is the over whelming religion of that part of the world, that it be only fitting to have a POPE from there

has there ever been a spanish pope?
