Well, one of the twelve would have to include me...and another one would be picking up the bill.

I'd have it in Vancouver at either Joe Forte's or the other one that Anthony recommends..or in Seattle, at El Gaucho's and I'd let them choose the menu.

As to where..... though I've never been to one I hear Rith Chris Steakhouse is VERY good from pretty much everyone here and I love steak so maybe there.

The biggest problem with getting 12 webmasters to dinner is actually getting their lazy asses up and moving. One of the prime reasons I don't do big long ass dinners any more is that moving the herd is nearly impossible.

And once they've moved, they tend to become stationary where they land.

There's only so much you can hear during a 4 hour ass numbing marathon dinner that you haven't already heard or won't hear again at the next one.

I daresay any 12 people from this industry sitting down for a nice meal - even picked at random - would be a helluva good, entertaining and learning experience.

I can't think of anyone I WOULDN'T want to have dinner with - even the freaks would be fun to watch attempt to use utensils :)

1.) I was found in a Suite at the Hyatt singing show tunes to the roomservice manager.It seems I had been for an hour. Apparently he put me on speaker phone. The next morning all the staff new my name and smiled at me a lot.

Please, I was going under the assumption that the restaurant was already chosen.

This thread makes me have flashbacks to standing in the lobby of the Venetian in '99 night after night during Fays show (no her show was not at the V) with the same people, calling the same late asses to hurry up and get in the bus, when we hadn't figured out exactly where we were going ;)

That and trying to get Delmonico to break their rule and seat 14 at one table instead of two -- unsuccessful lol...

Best thing that ever happened to me in Vegas dining was going to Picasso in my cast and crutches two years ago after the Forum. The sommelier and the assistant manager recognized me when I was in there a couple of months later -- ever since the GM and I have been good friends. There is no one more able to get seating at pretty much ANY Vegas restaurant on short notice than Mario.
