Just thought I would let you know that we had a company meeting this evening and after a lengthy discussion, well, actually more like me bitching "Its my ass on the line out there" and "Dammit, it's my program, let me run it the way I want to" a unanimous decision was reached. An IPOD is being sent to our first runner up. Rodney from Sir Rodney's Reviews, who has absolutely no affiliation with our company other than being an affiliate. Rodney brought in 64 sales during the contest month.

Now, that said, you can continue to bash me if you choose. I can't do anything about it. All I can say is I did not intentionally set out to cheat anyone. Believe it...Don't believe it, I have no control over that. I can just tell you how I feel and what I did to rectify the situation.

As I said when Rick Latona admitted to fucking up when accusing Natnet of an Iframe when one of his own was the one who sold it....she admits she fucked up.

Thats good enough for me!

Hopefully Red you got some contstructive criticism in the other thread along with some drive by traffic that will offset the drama.

Fair enough :)

Red, sorry to be a ball buster here but tough love is in order...

I don't read any sort of opology there. "With my ass on the line" just means good or bad you are going to be accountable for stuff like that and "its my program..." kind of passes the buck on who is to blame for the deal happening in the first place.

I don't see any "I am sorry for conducting a contest where there was an obviously blatant conflict of interests that I did not disclose as I should have"

:headwall:

Far-L, I do apologize for it. As I said, I did not intentionally set out to cheat anyone. I personally don't know, have never met, nor even talked to the guy who made the sales, but you're right, that is no excuse and again, I humbly apologize. And I assure you that if I ever run another contest, I'll go through the winner's geneological lineage and their entire work history to make sure there isn't even a remote connection.

I don't know what else I can say or do. I could offer up my first born, but I've never had kids. You can have my former step daughter, though. She's 30 and very hot, but a total bitch. :)

do you drink wine and adventurous in food?

Red 03-12-2005 01:51 PM

That sounds wonderful.

I'm extremely adventurous when it comes to food as long as I don't see it alive first. I'll name it and then it's all over. :)

I prefer white wine, my favorite so far is the Riesling put out by Wente. And I love desert wines. My other half is the red wine drinker.

One of the things we loved about living in northern California was spending Saturday afternoons winery hopping.
