Anyone know if its worth owning or is Alien Vs. Predator one of those 'rental only' movies?

Definately rental only, it is the same director who produced Mortal Combat i think, some good bits but the acting sucks.

a PG13 Aliens/Predator movie
'nuff said ;-)

actually, it's not a bad movie, just not particularly good either...it had a great premise and some of the ideas were good, just not brought to full fruitition due to the studio wanting a PG13, thus neutering some of the action scenes...

Yeah, very average.... Im a huge fan of both franchise, and I played the computer game quite a bit....

There's a taste of what I would have wanted an orgy of.... (weird sentence)

It didnt have enough of the Primal Hunter Vs Evolved Hunter Vs Defenseless-Panicking-until-they-find-heavy-firepower Humans feel I was hoping for....

Now that they've done Alien vs Predator and Jason vs Freddy ... what's left?

Only thing I can think of is Bambi vs. Godzilla. But how to make 2 seconds into a movie?

10 bucks on bambi ..

i'd watch Jacko vs Judge Judy

the fanboy in me would love to have seen the rumored Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash

Hail to the King baby!

Ash is in a league of his own ... Groovy ...

too bad Sam Raimi is being a bit of a fuckstick...
he teases with an EvilDead 4, then announces "no EvilDead 4, instead we'll do a remake of Evil Dead!"

as long as it's not a PG13 remake, I won't get too bent out of shape...

Isn't the DVD version a directors cut though?

So we actually did end up buying the DVD for AVP as well as Sky Captain and the movie wasnt to bad (AVP).

There is an alternate beginning on the DVD (which we havent watched yet) as well as a bunch of regular DVD extras.

Will lyk what the alternate beginning is like once we actually get a chance to watch it lol
