Eddie 01-23-2005 02:20 PM

wow! sad :( I grew up watching him.

Mike AI 01-23-2005 02:44 PM

An All-American peformer.

He will be missed.

darksoft 01-23-2005 03:44 PM

That is very sad. I would have preferred he stayed on the Tonight Show until his end instead of Leno but such is life.

grimm 01-23-2005 03:49 PM

oh man, that definitely sucks. :(

Raven 01-23-2005 04:38 PM

I will always remember 'Here's Johnny'....

RIP.

SykkBoy 01-23-2005 04:42 PM

been watching the coverage on tv today
I think almost all of us in the States grew up on him...

I used to spend my summers with my grandparents and my grandmother always had to stay up and watch Johnny before bedtime.

My mother just recently subscribed to the DVD service that has Johnny's old shows and comedy bitts on DVD. I think I might borrow them from her

Definiately 'one of a kind & set the bar for late night shows.

PornoDoggy 01-23-2005 06:25 PM

Major bummer ...

Peaches 01-23-2005 06:28 PM

I still laugh at the old shows. Very sad indeed.

Now that he's gone, who will replace him now?

Sorry, my mind gets boggled out. Silly me!

Dravyk 01-25-2005 01:01 PM

I think George Burns, Bob Hope and others kinda got many of us in the mindset that Johnny would last to about 100 years old too.

Amazingly, Ed McMahon lives on.

Bestat 01-25-2005 03:34 PM

It was a nice tribute on Leno last night, was great to see the old footage, as well as a couple of the "greats" from times past, I love Newhart and Rickles together, they really crack me up. :) Sure Johnny was smiling too!
