I rememeber back in the day, if my memory sevres me correctly, Mike Ai and SweetT had a 100% rev share program together. Just saw one announced on a different board today and am wondering people's thoughts about the feasibility of that these days.

Lee 01-17-2005 04:51 PM

IMHO, i think it is definately a viable business practice.

Just think of all the traffic they will be sent from their affiliates looking to make 100% of up to a (i presume) $60 sale (3 month access for example).

Im sure there will be consoles in place on the tours where the program operators can make up to $45 a pop from those sales which, is PURE profit ;)

Nickatilynx 01-17-2005 04:51 PM

Didn't someone do a 110% or something really daft??

The upsells must be awesome.

Mike or SweetT could fill us in.

SykkBoy 01-17-2005 04:58 PM

RobMac had one didn't he?
;-)))

I know Sweet T and them had Club 100

I think it's doable, but with more people using popup blockers, it'd be tougher to make it economically feasible

one way to do it, IMHO, is too have it as an amateur girl type site with multiple girls and then upsells to their own personal sites within that...otherwise, it would be very tough

Peaches 01-17-2005 05:05 PM

Didn't Tam start one recently? Last I heard she was leaving the business completely, but I don't think it was in regards to failing, just other situations arose.

VooMan 01-17-2005 05:13 PM

Ah yes, Sykk. Clickermint was the name if memory serves...

And Club100 is still around... :awinky:

yup, clickermint, couldn't remember exactly
I know he had a couple programs and i couldn't remember which was which...

hmm, I might have to drop by and re-visit Club 100 ;-)

TheEnforcer 01-17-2005 05:29 PM

Damn.. I just assumed Club100 had gone by the wayside. That's been a long time since that was started.

TheEnforcer 01-17-2005 05:32 PM

It's an interesting business model and one to be considered. just seems it would be much harder these days given the increasing prevalence of pop-up blockers.

Mike AI 01-17-2005 05:36 PM

Club 100 did very well.

The biggest challenge is to convince webmasters you are not screwing them. Most did not get the concept.

Upsells worked out very well. That and of course exit consoles. I am not sure if this model would be as successful with all the pop-up blockers out there now.

SweetT 01-17-2005 06:54 PM

Wow....Club100.....now that was fun. :) Anyone that knows me knows that I hate partners because you usually end up being enemies when the project goes South....but MikeAI and I had a blast with this concept and now I would never hesitate to partner with him on anything. No, we were not the first....but then again I have never had an original idea in my life. hehehe

MikeAI is exactly right...the biggest problem was that webmasters did not trust the concept. They felt like their must be a catch and there never was. We made our money off of the exit consoles and the upsells. The Pop-Up blockers could hurt that concept now...unless you could find another revenue line because contrary to what people may think, the program does need to make some money somewhere :)

The Dome was ROCKING Sat Night!! :rokk: :rokk: :rokk:

If PHI plays like I know they can then we have our work cut out for us this weekend....but if PHI plays like they did against the Vikes we will dominate them...contrary to what the score looked like the Eagles gave the Vikes way too many chances to kick their butts and Minnesota just failed to take advantage of them.

Of course, I wanted Minn to win so that we could play at home this weekend but that was not to be, huh?

It was an exciting game.

Philly is not the Lambs. But with Vick, ATL has a shot in any game against any team. Only 2 more games!!

Nickatilynx 01-17-2005 07:32 PM

I pissed myself to hear it announced yesterday...

"And the new center for the Patriots is Gay"

Unfortunate name for a ball player. ;-)))
