Is it the best way to have all the messenger services in one?
Or does it suck? |
Trillian is excellent, I've never had any problems with it. Best thing to do is load up the free version and see what you think.
Heck, the free one is so good I've never bothered to upgrade. |
I used it when I had a separate ICQ number for WEG. I wasn't overwelmed.
Tonda had problems with hers having too many ICQ addresses and went to ICQ lite and from what I know, so far, so good. Then again I only have AIM for WEG and ICQ for other work, so I don't have a ton of messengers. If you can't reach me by ICQ, phone or email, then I don't want to hear from you :) |
The new Trillian version 3 is excellent :okthumb:
|
I've got ICQ and upgraded once since I got it when it first came out. I still have a version from 2002! :P
|
I've used trillian for over a year, with no problems.... had to combine ICQ, AIM, Yahoo!, and MSN cuz of work, and didnt like having each seperate program open....

OK, fokkers, 2 minutes after I posted my ICQ went offline and I can't get back on! Who called and had me cut off? :P
|
More signs that the world is ending. Nick using Trillian.
I am uber L33t. I use Gaim. |
Yup, just upgraded to version 3 a few days ago. It's working well here.
|
Trillian Pro 3 so far so good :okthumb:
|
Maybe I'll have to give v3 a try.... I've used Trillian off & on - more off, although not MY choice... the damned thing just kept giving me troubles.
I would like to use it - I use Yahoo! for inter-office communications, AIM for family communications and ICQ to communicate with the REST of the world. lol LMK what you think Nick - would love to hear a first-timer's impression of how it works out for them. B) |
i use it, and do enjoy its features, but its taken me 3 reinstalls to get it to be stable.
you need to make sure you have it set not to 'dock messages', otherwise it will keep saying you have a message but you won't be able to find it!!!! or so i've heard  |
I started using it this morning.
Does anyone know how to remove windows messenger from the system tray? I've tried a number of things. I think it's immortal. |
I've been using it for years the only bad thing is if you have mulitple profiles on yahoo - not seperate yahoo accounts.
I finally upgraded to pro after using it for 3 years. I just wish is had better search - like icq - can be a pain to find people on my list |

In regards to messenger Colin I used another program wintasks to stop it from loading via the registry at boot. However if I load any of the outlook products it will sometimes still load into the task bar untill yoi close outlook. I think your right it is lmost impossible to remove. |

Tried Trillian, the free version, a few years ago. It ate my database one day. Poof!
I'd love to use it again, but I'm afraid. I use AIM, ICQ and Yahoo. |
Its driving me mental....
