I am taking antibiotics, antihistimines, antiinflammatories, pain killers, bathing in this yellow shit that helps reduce the itching, dabbing myself from head to toe with Calamine Lotion to reduce the itching and gargling antiseptic because they are in my throat as well.

This is all so wrong.

Are chicken pox in adults shingles?

I had maybe 3 spots when I was 4. My doctor said he couldn't be 100% sure it was chicken pox, but if I didn't get it again, then it was. I haven't :)

My son had a HORRIBLE case of them at about 2.5 He still has scars on his face and back. :(

Nah Peaches, adults can get regular chicken pox that aren't shingles...if they haven't had them as a child (which obviously Lindsay didn't). On rare occasions you can get them even if you have had them before, if the first time you had them it was a mild dose that didn't properly fire off your immune system.

Shingles are another thing altogether, usually seen in adults who have had chicken pox as children. Different rash, and extremely painful, as it strikes along the nerve pathways, rather than on the skin surface like chicken pox does.

Well I am 4 days in.

They promised me between 3-5 days of misery.

They were NOT fucking kidding.

Getting better slowly, the ones in my throat have settled down, and most of the spots have burst and are settling down slowly, but getting a little sick of bathing first in that god-awful brown Pine Tarsol shit and then taking a calamine lotion "shower" to cover the bastards.

I will survive and I WILL be in Vegas.

Holy cow brotha. Those look horrible. I hear the effect is much worse the older you get. From what I understand, some adults have died in certain cases from chicken pox. Don't look at the sun or be out in the daylight. You will go blind. Or so my mother used to frighten us with. :yowsa:
