I happen to think it's a great opportunity, the herd MIGHT get thinned but it's overdue

Vick, thinning the herd is always a nice thing. You are forgetting that when it comes to payment processors, the herd is already plenty thin enough. There will be more action there. That won't thin the herd, that will kill the online industry complete. We are thin already in the most vunerable spots, and the video industry would like nothing better than to have the online industry disappear, which will push people back to their products.

There seems to be a blissful ignorance here about how much the whole thing is on borrowed time. We are literally one dead processor away from mayhem, and one more away from nuclear winter. When the money goes away, the rest is pretty pointless. We are thin where it counts, taking money to the bank, and one well placed shot will bleed almost everyone out.

We will see how it turns out, and in the meantime, I will continue to hone my other businesses that don't involve CC processing for porn.

Alex, there are plenty of webmasters who have their own credit card processing. What you're talking about is 3rd party processing.

And rumor has it there are always checks B) Go look at CE's join page and see what their first option is - it's been like that for at least a year.

I should also say .. we're rapidly expanding to provide more quality content for membersites with a number of products in development slated for 2005 delivery. Porn is alive and well. We believe it is here to stay. We'll be here better than ever.

Alex, diversification is always a good idea. That is not chicken little, that is smart business. Risk management is always a key part of business.

The reality is the biggest problems in this industry come from the theives and scammers inside of it.
