Youve heard the story... if you want a recap... visit GFY.
The poll is a simple one. |
He is a walking liability. However he probably knows to much about Hooper's "business" so Hooper will keep on paying him.
If chair had killed someone, they would be owning Hoop. Especially if it happened after he was on "notice". |
Personally, I don't know enough about the full situation nor do I even really know Wiseman (have only met him once and it was briefly in passing) but this seems to be somewhat of a pattern.
If this had been a first time offense, I could see him giving another chance, but when it's a recurring thing, Hooper should do right by his friend/employee and get him some help. I'd hate to see anyone lose their job through lack of control of their vices. Maybe a wake up call is needed (or maybe this was the wake up call) and some time in rehab is the answer. |
I don't know anything at all about this specific situation except what I've read on the boards.
I know more than I want to about what at least part of the situation looks like. You can't stand up while you are still falling. Sometimes the best efforts of someone trying to "do right by his friend/employee and get him some help" end up doing more harm than good. Frequently the platitudes tossed around in rehab don't mean much until you come crashing down - and the crash may not hurt enough if somebody cushions the fall with a mattress every fucking time. Under certain circumstances I can see keeping an employee who's done something like this ONCE, assuming the employee has enough skills or talents to warrant employment even though they shouldn't be participating in something as public as a show. Sending someone known for this kind of behavior back to a subsequent show seems about as logical as hiring a convicted child abuser to teach Sunday School. |

he's a partner, not an employee

Hooper has a lot more to worry about then! |

I wasn't there and I haven't been there for the other "Wiseman" stories, but if what I've heard is even half true, I hope this is a wakeup call and he gets some professional help before he hurts/kills someone else or himself. :( |

Sounds like its dead on the money. |

wait, I guess if someone was standing below when the chair and table fell it would be THEN be rock bottom.... |
Why, for being a raging alcoholic??
Don't birds of a feather flock together? |

Best thing he can do is hang on to next chair he throws out window...

seems like I am not alone in cracking yet another Hoop's lie |
yes, it was a very unfortunate situation.....
I am very surprised that Ken did not put wiseman on the ground after the beer pouring incident. I for one know I could not have possibly had the same restraint as Ken did.... wiseman is a loser. |
He's not a partner and if he didn't head straight for rehab right after his honeymoon, I'd seriously consider having McDonalds employee him if I were Hooper. Having fun is one thing, and we all have our moments, this goes a bit further than any type of amusement that doesn't involve poking someone with sharp objects...
|
Is this habitual, or is it just an Internext tradition......?
He has been to Cybernet Expos - and if he did any damage or anything really stupid - I never heard about it. Although this is certainly bad publicity for the company - (and if he is good at his job) he might consider grounding him. If it is not essential to his job description - I think I would make this his last Internext...... Although it souinds like he might need some help..... the "friends don't let friends drive drunk" - same principle might apply here.... |
with all the holding corporations, offshore corporations, complicated tax structures, etc... I get a kick out of people trying to delude themselves and others that they are not the effective owners/partners in a business... I am not sure if this is the case in Hooper/Wiseman's situation but I have seen it tried a few times....
|
partners. not employer/employee. period.
remember a few years ago how they came together as partners?!? its not that long ago ... all the 'selling to off shore entities' rubbish only works on paper - if the boys were employees, Ryan at least would have been fired after this situation. As if a company would buy another company, and stand by while the old owners, who are now managers, destroy its reputation! |

And Hooper wants to come on here and tell us all we are all scared of him. |

Ken should have at least put the drunk fucker on the ground, and made him feel some pain IMHO ask anthony, he could have made wiseman real sore without even so much as a surface bruise to show for it if he would have wanted to. |

[/b][/quote] Joe my FFN brother I have to disagree with you on that. I think Ken Lawson handled that situation better than anyone I know of... of course my first inclination would have been to have poured the beer back on him. Being scared and fighting about what? Im pretty vocal about I dont care for the tactics and behaviour of the Hooper consulting firm... and I think its a cop out to beg off bys saying your blacked out when you realize what youve done... and then removed from the situation to go live on a radio show and make light of it and your rebutal is for Mike AI to suck your dick.... however.... I dont think just because we disagree that a can of whoop ass should be opened up. Thats what started this whole situation to begin with. 2 wrongs dont make a right. The situation, as pathetic as it is, I think was handled properly. By security and the local police. Now how the boys from CE handle this in the future remains to be seen... |
