Doohan, 84, In Beginning Stages Of Disease

SEATTLE -- Actor James Doohan -- who played Chief Engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott on the 60's "Star Trek" television series, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

Damn, that sucks. He is my favorite original series character!! That disease is just horrible!! :(

Shame to see this happening to Ole Scotty.... he was a great character...

Some where McCoy is saying "Damn it, Scotty! I told you those transporters scattering your molecules everywhere weren't good for you!" :)

Meanwhile, my mother has the same thing, early signs of Alzheimer's, for a couple years now. Sucks. :(

I hope I'm still coherent if I get diagnosed with it - I'll gladly say my goodbyes and take a hand full of pills. What a horrible, horrible disease. :(
