I just read an insane article in Vanity Fair about this woman, Lisl Auman, who was convicted of murder even though she was sitting in the back of a police car when the murder happened. This girl was living in a boarding house while working on a forest job in Denver. She was having problems with her boyfriend and decided to move out of the boarding house. She asked a friend to help her pick up her stuff. The friends boyfriend volunteered to help and brought along two other guys. One of them, Matthaeus Jaehnig, had a long rap sheet and was a known white supremist. Lisl only met Jaehnig that day. They went to pick up her stuff at the house and the other guys jacked some stuff of Lisls boyfriend. Lisl is in the car with Jaehnig who speeds through town causing a police chase. He takes out a gun and while driving at 100 mph tells Lisl to grab the wheel which she does. They outrun the cops back to an apartment building where they get out of the car. The cops show up and order Lisl to put her hands up. She does and she is cuffed and put in the back of the police car. Meanwhile tons of cops show up and have a shootout with Matthaeus Jaehnig who kills a cop and then himself. Lisl is convicted of murder under a law that says you can be responsible for a murder if you participated in a crime that led up to that murder.

Welcome to the conspiracy laws. The only worthwhile thing I've seen in a recent AVN Online was a reprint of Clyde DeWitts explanation of conspiracy to commit and how dangerous it is to our industry.
