For some reason, I have a cop phobia.
|
I went for "I better slow the FUCK down!"
After just ending a 3 year ban for speeding :( Edit: it looked like I'd just been banned before the edit. Last edited by Trev at May 13 2004, 01:57 PM |
My option was not in the poll:
I wonder if the back seats are anymore comfortable than the last time I was thrown in there  |
I think: When was my last drink and do I have any weed in my pockets?

and the pride of Australia! I wish the entire world population was molded after you. If you need my financial help to freeze your body and genes NOW for future generations to admire, I'll be more than delighted to contribute while you are in LA |
"Haha. Look at everyone slowing down."
My radar detector went off a mile before I saw him.. I already slowed down. Radar detector went off the other day.. I slowed down. All the cars behind me slowed down. Lady behind me got mad because I was driving the speed limit.. she tail gates me for several hundred yards.. then she blows around me just in time to catch the officers eye. Escort Radar Detector: $300 Cost of new brakes from excessive usage: $500 Look on ladies face when she realizes the mistake she made: PRICELESS |
I hate those people who noticeably slow down. If theres a bunch of cars going 80 then you're just keeping up with traffic. :okthumb:

HEH, nice poll actually. I went with the "I better slow the fuck down" for the obvious reasons. The roads out here in the southwest demand to be driven fast on....150mph+ is a common speed for me on any given day.
I guess there should have been 1 more option in the poll though... when your flying along at super high speeds, even if you have a fantastic radar detector, you are screwed either way. So, there should have been "aww fuck, I'm fucked again". Last edited by JohnV at May 13 2004, 07:47 AM |
I just think...
"oh, there's a cop car." |
Depends on where I am at.
In Louisiana I am not concerned about cops, I know enough to get myself out of most trouble. If not I know many assistent District Attorneys. In Florida, it's usually slow down. They shoot much more radar and I have already had 2 warnings. |
throw it in 2nd and see if I can get away
|
You forgot my choice for seeing officers having someone pulled over late night in Baltimore City ......
....... Guilty |

The LAPD motorcycle grunts are the worst tho, just like everyone else in LA, they are out to hustle someone for some cash. I got a ticket at LAX a couple months ago and I thought it was 671 bucks to pay it off. Turns out its 800+ |
Almost cut my hair
It happened just the other day It was getting kind of long I could have said it was in my way But I didn't and I wonder why I feel like letting my freak flag fly And I feel like I owe it to someone Must be because I had the flu for Christmas And I'm not feeling up to par It increases my paranoia Like looking into a mirror and seeing a police car If I am stopped in my Cadillac it's generally a finger wagging lecture ("Sir ... do you realize that you were doing 64 in a 55?" "Boy, do you know how fucking glad I am I slowed down to 64?"). If I am stopped in my 1987 Chevy pickup truck I generally get to meet several policemen. The truck combined with my hair seems to suggest methamphetemes to the local po-lice. Last edited by PornoDoggy at May 13 2004, 01:34 PM |
I said "ha ha look at everyone slowing down" because it's SO true... lol
You have to be careful of those glorified ticket-writers & highway meter maids no matter what your state or location.... CHP really sucks out here in the desert - I swear they're bored and just get off on writing tickets. Hub got a ticket coming home from work a few months back for going 75 in a 70 zone at 11:30 at night on I-10. <_< My grandpa was a county sheriff... My dad was a city cop... Hub is a state officer... .... but I still watch my speed and stay away from those ticket writers! Stopping you for speeding is just Step 1 in their plan of action... then they just dig, dig, dig until they find something better to take you away for. |
those damn instant on ka bans suck!
they dont sit in wait in the city but they sure do in the suburbs. i cant get any more tickets or ill be driving with no license when i see cops when im on the street i dont give a fuck, im glad they are there. they certainly dont mind us walking around drunk screaming at the top of our lungs at 4 am so no need to worry about em. |

30khp over the limit is about au$1000 plus 6 out of 12 demerit points lost for 2 years here. Radar detectors are illegal and the cops scan for them and we have thousands of fixed and mobile speed cameras too.. In one state the speed cameras are set 6kph over the speed limit. Now I really see why so many people here complain about how our cops are just glorified revenue raisers.. I remember police did used to warn people about minor offences when I was a kid too! |

Get 12 points in a 18 month period and your license is gone for 2 years with an unknown fine. Get caught speeding over 100mph and the judge gets to decide how long you're a pedestrian and how much it's going to cost you. What I really love are the new "enforcement" units… these are big transit vans that are parked in trouble spots and have speed cameras sticking out of the back… problem is they're done up to look like civilian vans… Seen one the other day with "PlumbFix" written on the side, two cameras sticking out of two little portholes on the back… :steemed: |
get caught for 100mph/160kph on almost any road here and the copper will take your licence on the spot and make you walk home... if you are lucky.. if he is pissed off you get arrested for "driving in a manner dangerous"
40 quid for anything under 160kph.. damn I could be a petrol head boy again over there!! :D Colin... I have cop paronoia on the road too... I force myself to ignore them when I see them.. I am certain thinking about them at all attracts them to you  |
If I am in Oregon, I think man is this dude gonna shit his pants when I show him my weed, haha then after he cuffs me I break out the card, and he has to give me back my pot, and let me go on my way!!!
anywhere in the south, I think man, am I glad my asshole is hiding, from them so they don't pull a deliverance on my ass! if I am in new york, or Miami, or Vegas, I think oh shit, now I gotta sdpend another grand or two, so I can go on and do my thing... wow that was an expensive ride to the donut shop! ( cops have the whole capitalist system thing down) |
